
Dr. John I. Davis, Jr.

Elder John I. Davis, Jr., was ordained in March 2005 by Bishop Mark Walden, Prelate of Northern Georgia Second Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ. Pastor Davis served many years under the administration of the late Bishop J.H. Dell, Prelate of Northern Georgia Jurisdiction. He is an educator, administrator, coach and a community service contributor. He is married to Dr. Iris W. Davis, co-pastor of Greater Faith Harvest. They have five sons, four daughter-in-laws, and eight grandchildren.
Religious: Since a child, Dr. Davis has progressively grown and developed in the church as a musician. His instruments are the guitar and drums. He has served as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, ordained Deacon, youth coordinator, Steward board Chairman, etc. He has work with ministers, pastors and church leaders, and community leaders across social, economic and denominational lines in an effort to enhance the growth and development of youth. He has also facilitated administrative and leadership positions.

Dr. Davis has over 20 years of coaching experience, which includes middle school through post secondary school. For 15 years he served as National Youth Sports Program (NYSP) Director at Albany State College. He has served as a middle school and high school assistant principal and also as a high school principal. Dr. Davis served as Athletic Director and Men's Basketball Coach at Albany State University. In Fall 2006, he returned to public education as Principal of an Achievement Academy
